  • Never cross the shooting line without permission.
  • Only load on the shooting line.
  • Ensure arrows are always in the quiver or pointed down, no other direction will be tolerated
  • Arrows must only be drawn pointing toward the target. Never draw the bow vertically or aim at the sky.
  • Once you have finished shooting move away from the shooting line, towards the fence.

  • Never put your hand on anyone (exception for coaches or instructors if they are teaching after seeking consent).
  • No swearing, foul language or bullying will be tolerated.
  • Never run, either behind the line or when going to collect arrows.
  • Phones must be switched to silent or vibrate. (unless agreed otherwise for emergencies).
  • Never dry fire: Never draw and release a bowstring without an arrow nocked. This can shatter the bow and injure you or bystanders.
  • Targets will be separated according to gender and age group unless otherwise agreed
  • If you have defective equipment, step back from shooting line, and seek immediate assistance from a coach/instructor.
  • No cross shooting: only shoot on your allocated target unless permitted otherwise by Coach or field captain.
  • Photography is allowed at the club, unless a person or parent of a minor requests otherwise. Nevertheless, always seek permissions from others before taking their pictures.

The following rules are suggested as good manners and range etiquette

  • Always help to set up and pack away your target.
  • Always do a final walk of the field to check for any lost arrows.
  • Ensure targets and equipment are put back in their correct places.
  • Never leave any rubbish or if you find rubbish put in the bin.
  • If you see someone who needs help when setting up/packing away/pulling arrows go up and help.
  • If someone is shooting alone on the line, 1 person may stand alongside them for company.
  • Adopt the attitude of ‘what can I do for others’, rather than, ‘what can others do for me’.
