Despite the chilly temperature and uncertain weather, 10 brave new students showed up at our Norbury field to start their Archery Journey with our Mamluk Beginner Course. In the span of 6 sessions, they will learn the history, techniques, details and intricacies of this beautiful art that is Mamluk Archery. All (except one) have never shot a bow before, so this is truly the beginning of, we hope, a new hobby, sport and regular activity that will be able to implement in their life.
Some feedbacks we already received after the first course:
"It was indeed a great session today. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to learning more. oved the fact that we’re learning historical and cultural significance of the discipline and artistry of Archery. This is something you don’t normally learn in other clubs. Thank you"This is from an advanced archer, who enjoyed the fact we go behind the theory and technicalities to go to the historical roots of archery.
It puts (the history of archery) a lot of meaning in what we do when we participate and hopefully the mastery of it all.
